Interior Architecture (Commercial)Dental ClinicSingaporeA series of internalized courtyards and planting were inserted throughout this dental clinic as a strategy to address ‘internalized anxiety’ that most patients experience whilst visiting the dentist.
Most dental clinics are typically characterised by white and bright spaces that often appear cold and sterile. These clinical environments often create ‘internalized anxiety’ amongst patients and often stain the experience of dental treatments. This project seeks to alleviate this experience by introducing nature in the form of pockets of green spaces between treatment rooms and windows that look into them. This allows visual distractions and a calibration of moods when treatments occur. The material palette is composed of neutral hues, natural textures and a myriad of green-based materials, which further accentuate the natural atmosphere.
